today was just bloody amazing. even though it was a saturday i had to wake up pretty early to celebrate my sisters birthday since she wouldnt be able to tmrw due to work. the birthday celebration itself was nothing much, basically just had bbq and hot pot at her place, if you ask me it was a bit warm for hot pot.. anyways during the bbq my brother who was outside was like "OI SOMEONE GET OUT HERE". my initial thought was that something bad had happened such a the grill thingo catching on fire or something. but no that wasnt the case. what actually happened was that an ECHIDNA had seemingly wondered into their backyard!!!!! DUDE AN ECHIDNA FOR GOD SAKE. IT WAS A MOTHERFUCKING ECHIDNA, HOW COOL IS THAT?! ok i can just imagine some of you right now going "wth.. shes getting all worked up over an echidna..?" BUT THINK ABOUT IT. at a zoo you wouldve had to seen it through a glass window but i got to actually experience encountering this beautiful creature first hand!!! it was truly an exhilarating experience for me. the echida seemed pretty use to human contact though, it didnt display any threatening or defensive behaviours but instead it actually waltzed right up to me, i was super duper close to it! obviously theres a reason why the echidna was there. my sister lives right near a wildlife reserve and so from time to time wild animals would end up in or near her house. the more common ones would probably be possums and occasionally kangaroos. apparently one time they also discovered a snake, omg when i grow up i am DEFINITIVELY going to choose a location like hers. alright i should stop going on about meeting this echidna lol.. so we ate cake and watched this movie called 'lost in thailand'. HONEY HILARIOUS SHIT RIGHT THERE. i HIGHLY recommend it but its in chinese so for you non chinese speakers, watch it in subtitles i guess? but idk if it would still have the same effect. oooooh also sophie forced me to watch this thing in 3D, i got ten minutes into and i stopped cos i started getting dizzy. left pretty early since i had a shitload of assignments to do, took a nap and did some of my assignment. now im taking a break and im gonna let future sandy worry about the rest of the assignment.
